Abstract:
The present invention provides a plastic optical fiber, wherein the plastic optical fiber has excellent noise suppression effect. This plastic optical fiber comprises a core and a cladding, a light-shielding agent being included in a first cladding adjacent to the core, and the content of the light-shielding agent being in the range of 100-10000 ppm, and the plastic optical fiber preferably further comprises a second cladding on the outside of the first cladding. The plastic optical fiber is also suitable for use in a medical sensor device.
