Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing, among others, a short-fiber treatment agent that is capable of enhancing the stability of the short-fiber treatment agent and that is capable of enhancing the water repellent and antistatic properties of fibers to which the short-fiber treatment agent is applied. A short-fiber treatment agent according to the present invention is characterized: by containing a component (A), described below, a component (B), described below, and a component (C), described below; and by containing, in a non-volatile component of the short-fiber treatment agent, 5-50 mass% of the component (A), 30-75 mass% of the component (B), and 2-15 mass% of the component (C). The component (A) is an alkyl phosphate ester salt that has an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms. The component (B) is a paraffin wax. The component (C) is a polyoxyalkylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester.
