Abstract:
In order to improve steering stability while achieving lighter mass and reduction in rolling resistance, the pneumatic tire 1 is provided with one carcass ply 20 having a ply turn-up 22 and a reinforcement layer 40 disposed between the ply turn-up 22 of the carcass ply 20 and a bead filler 12, wherein: an end part 23 of the ply turn-up 22 of the carcass ply 20 is disposed radially inward of a belt layer 25 and in a region located widthwise inward of the belt layer 25; the bead filler 12 has a distance Df, between an outer end part 13 and a bead heel part 17, in the range of 20% to 40% of the cross-sectional height Hs of the tire; an outer end part 41 of the reinforcement layer 40 is positioned radially outward of the outer end part 13 of the bead filler 12 and radially inward of the radial position of a tire maximum width position P; and a sidewall section 4 is made of side rubber 33 having a tanδ in the range of 0.04 to 0.10 at 60°C.
