Abstract:
Provided is a pneumatic tire which enhances decorativeness and noticeability of a sidewall part while making projections and recesses of the sidewall part less conspicuous and which simultaneously enables shortening of drafting time at a tire design stage. In this pneumatic tire having a decorative portion 10 on an outer surface of a sidewall part 1, the decorative portion 10 comprises a plurality of decorative elements 20 which are arranged in a staircase pattern along mutually parallel reference lines L. Each of the decorative elements 20 is formed in a hexagonal shape that comprises three parallelogram-shaped regions 21-23 which are arranged so as to share respective adjacent edges thereof. The regions 21-23 in each of the decorative elements 20 each have formed therein a plurality of ridges 31-33 that extend in the same direction, and within the three regions 21-23 that constitute the corresponding decorative element 20, the ridges 31-33 are formed to tilt in mutually different directions.
