Abstract:
This polarization plate (100) has a wire-grid structure and comprises: a transparent substrate (10); a plurality of protrusion parts (20) which are formed on a first surface (10a) of the transparent substrate (10) and which are arranged at a pitch shorter than the wavelength of light in a usage bandwidth so as to extend in a first direction; and an antireflection layer (30) which is formed on a second surface (10b) of the transparent substrate (10) on the side opposite to the first surface (10a). Surfaces (20a) of the protrusion parts (20) and the surface (30a) of the antireflection layer (30) are respectively covered with a protective film (40A) and a protective film (40B) that are made of a second dielectric material.
