Abstract:
A polarizer composite that has a polarizer, a phase difference layer and a first reinforcing material that are provided on one surface side of the polarizer, and a second reinforcing material that is provided on the other surface side of the polarizer. The polarizer has a polarizing region that is no more than 15 μm thick and a non-polarizing region that is surrounded by the polarizing region as seen in plan view. The phase difference layer has a phase difference region and a non–phase difference region. The first reinforcing material has a cell region and a non-cell region. The second reinforcing material has a plurality of second cells that each have an opening end surface. The opening end surfaces are arranged to face the surface of the polarizer, and there are second cells in at least a region that corresponds to the non-polarizing region. The non-polarizing region, the non–phase difference region, and the non-cell region each include a cured product of an actinic-ray-curable resin.
