Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a polymer scaffold for prosthesis, which is an insertion-type support, and a manufacturing method thereof. The polymer scaffold for prosthesis comprises: two outer sheets made of a biodegradable synthetic polymer material; and an inner sheet disposed between the two outer sheets and made of a biodegradable natural polymer material. The two outer sheets are bonded to each other at the edges thereof to form a shape of a single sealed bag, wherein the outer sheets are made of the biodegradable synthetic polymer material and are formed by a portion cut from a synthetic polymer matrix having a larger area and thickness than the outer sheets. The inner sheet is made of the biodegradable natural polymer material and is formed by a portion cut from a natural polymer matrix having a larger area and thickness than the inner sheet. The inner sheet contains a therapeutic agent for regenerating a tissue of an affected part, and the outer sheet is formed by amorphously stacking microfibers. Therefore, the present invention can be tailored and provided to a patient because the type or size of an affected part may be different depending on the type and severity of injury and the recovery and tissue regeneration rate of the affected part may be different depending on the patient's age, body shape, and physique even for allogeneic injuries of similar severity.
