Abstract:

A polyolefin resin composition which comprises a block copolymer (I) (selected among block copolymers and hydrogenation products thereof, the block copolymers each comprising at least one polymer block (A) formed mainly from one or more aromatic vinyl compounds and comprising at least 1 wt.% alkylstyrene units (a) substituted by C_1-8 alkyl and at least one polymer block (B) consisting mainly of conjugated diene compound units, at least the polymer block (A) being crosslinkable with actinic energy rays) and a polyolefin resin (II) and which is to be crosslinked with actinic energy rays after molding. This polyolefin resin composition has an excellent balance among flexibility, heat resistance, mechanical strength, and solvent resistance. It is effective in applications such as electric wire/cable coating, tubes, films, coated papers, pipes, sheets, writing utensils, food containers, and miscellaneous goods for daily use.
