Abstract:
The present invention provides: a novel porous cellulose which is composed of an unsubstituted cellulose and is imparted with a function that is not inherent in porous celluloses; and a method for producing this novel porous cellulose. A porous cellulose which contains a polymer other than an unsubstituted cellulose, said polymer having a glucose unit, and an unsubstituted cellulose, wherein the content of the polymer is 20% by mass or less in a total of 100% by mass of the polymer and the unsubstituted cellulose.
