Abstract:
A portable terminal device for measuring the distance between two waypoints by
moving between them, the portable terminal device having a start instruction section
for instructing the start of measurement of a distance, an acceleration acquisition
section for acquiring acceleration of the movement of the portable terminal
device, a distance calculation section for calculating, based on the acceleration
acquired by the acceleration acquisition section, the distance of the movement
from a waypoint at which the start of the measurement is instructed by the start
instruction section, and an informing section for informing the user, when the
distance of the movement calculated by the distance calculation section has
reached a predetermined distance, that they are at a destination waypoint away
from the start point by the predetermined distance.
