Abstract:
A positive electrode active material for all-solid-state lithium ion batteries, said positive electrode active material being composed of particles that contain a crystal of a lithium metal composite oxide, wherein: the particles have a lamellar structure, while containing at least Li and a transition metal; the ratio of the integrated intensity I003 of a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ = 18.5 ± 1° to the integrated intensity I104 of a diffraction peak within the range of 2θ = 44.4 ± 1°, namely I003/I104 is more than 1.23 in a powder X-ray diffraction measurement using a CuKα ray; and a press density A is 2.90 g/cm3 or more if this positive electrode active material for all-solid-state lithium ion batteries is compressed under a pressure of 45 MPa.
