Abstract:
A positive electrode which is to be used in a lithium-ion secondary battery and is equipped with a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode mixture layer on at least one surface of the positive electrode current collector, wherein: the positive electrode mixture layer has a positive electrode active material layer, and an undercoat layer formed between the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material layer; and the undercoat layer contains a conductive aid, a binder, and thermally expandable microcapsules having a maximum expansion volume temperature in the range of 70-180°C, inclusive.
