Abstract:
A power conversion system (100) is provided with a self-excited first voltage-type converter (110A) connected between a first alternating current power system (112A) and a direct current power transmission line (111). A first control device (120A) limits an effective power command value and an invalid power command value to values corresponding to an effective power limit value and an invalid power limit value, respectively, and controls the operations of the first voltage-type converter (110A) in accordance with the limited effective power command value and the limited invalid power command value. The first control device (120A) is configured such that the first control device sets the invalid power limit value to a predetermined value in operation mode that is to be used when the first alternating current power system (112A) fails, and sets the effective power limit value on the basis of the invalid power command value.
