Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to perform fixed pulse pattern control with the optimum number of switching times depending on a modulation rate. A minimum necessary number of levels L_duty for outputting a target modulation rate d_ref is set (S2). The total number N_volt of voltage orders to be controlled from among the voltage fundamental wave and harmonic waves of a power converter is set (S3). The set minimum necessary levels L_duty and the total number N_volt of voltage orders to be controlled are compared with each other, and whichever is greater is determined to be the number of switching times N in a quarter cycle at the target modulation rate (S4 - S6). When N_volt is determined to be the number of switching times N, the form of an output voltage is set (S7). On the basis of the determined target modulation rate d_ref and the number of switching times N in the quarter cycle, the phases of N switching times are obtained and a pulse pattern of one cycle is derived in which an output voltage level according to those target modulation rate, form of the output voltage, and phases is set (S8, S9).
