Abstract:
In a hybrid automobile (20), an engine (22), motors (MG1 and MG2) and a transmission (60) are so controlled that a power based on a demanded torque (Tr*) may be outputted to a drive shaft (67), while being accompanied by both an engine speed adjusting operation to make the speed (Ne) of the engine (22) identical to a shift speed (= γt/k·V) based on an upper side shift gear ratio (γtu(n)), i.e., an executing shift gear ratio (γt) and a shift from an n-th gear ratio state to a (n+1)-th gear ratio state, when the demanded gear ratio (γr) or the demanded value of the gear ratio between the engine (22) and the drive shaft (67) becomes the lower limit gear ratio (γlim(n)) or less or an n-th shift gear ratio (γt(n)) or less while the n-th gear ratio state is in the midst of being set by the transmission (60).
