Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a power supply control method and an electronic device, relating to the field of electronic devices. Power supply oscillation caused by triggering overvoltage protection (OVP) can be prevented while a battery can be effectively protected from overvoltage. A specific solution comprises: setting a first overvoltage protection (OVP) threshold in an electronic device, and when a voltage of a battery is higher than the first OVP threshold, controlling a power supply module to not supply power to a load. The power supply module is controlled not to charge a battery in a battery module. The battery in the battery module is controlled to supply power to the load, until the voltage of the battery remains lower than a second OVP threshold within a preset duration, the second OVP threshold being lower than the first OVP threshold.
