Abstract:
This power supply device comprises: a charging/discharging switching element that is connected in series to a battery module to charge or discharge the battery module; an analog circuit that controls ON/OFF of the charging/discharging switching element; and a digital circuit that controls the analog circuit. The analog circuit includes an analog-side communication terminal for receiving, from the digital circuit, a command to control ON/OFF of the charging/discharging switching element through communication, and a switch-OFF terminal for turning off the charging/discharging switching element, the switch-OFF terminal being provided separately from the analog-side communication terminal. The power supply device further comprises a switch-OFF circuit for outputting an OFF signal to the switch-OFF terminal to turn off the charging/discharging switching element in response to the non-operating state of the digital circuit.
