Abstract:
During normal operation, a switching control circuit in a switching power supply control IC operates to control the open/close operation of a switching element. When a standby operation is specified by a remote control light-receiving unit, an energy saving switch is opened during a period until the output voltage of a secondary output winding rectifying/smoothing circuit has a value lower than a predetermined value. This causes the operation of the switching control circuit in the switching power supply control IC to stop, so that the open/close operation of the switching element is not performed. In this case, the remote control light-receiving unit and a timer microcomputer can operate on power based on the voltage across a smoothing capacitor of the secondary output winding rectifying/smoothing circuit.
