Title:
POWER SUPPLY DEVICE, VEHICLE AND POWER STORAGE DEVICE PROVIDED WITH POWER SUPPLY DEVICE, AND BATTERY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/068897
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention improves the ability of a power supply device, which uses a plurality of accumulators such as secondary batteries, to dissipate heat. The power supply device (100) is provided with a power storage block comprising a plurality of accumulators (1) connected in series, a circuit board for monitoring the power storage block, and a housing case (30) that houses the power storage block and the circuit board. The power storage block comprises pairs of accumulators (2) in which the accumulators (1) are linearly connected in twos, and allows a plurality of pairs of accumulators (2) to be arranged in the same plane. According to the above configuration, by treating the accumulators (1) as only two accumulators connected in one direction, each battery has a location facing either of the surfaces of the housing case (30), enabling heat to be dissipated from that area, thereby enabling a situation in which deterioration readily proceeds to be avoided, said deterioration being caused by accumulators positioned in the middle having greater difficulty in dissipating heat than the other accumulators. In particular, since one of the end surfaces of each accumulator (1) can invariably be regarded as an open surface that is not present on other accumulators, the ability to dissipate heat can be improved.
