Abstract:
The new concept of precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall is a block of precast concrete using for earth and water retaining wall, with the innovation of vertical steel reinforcement and water proofing wall. It is an alternative products to substitute the traditional concrete wall cast-in-place. Precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall is rapid installation without scaffolding and formwork, reduced construction materials, takes very short time, less labor, and greatly reduced the cost of wall construction. After completely installed the wall of precast concrete panel in one row, then poured concrete grouting in each joint to homogeneous connection same as the wall installation cast-in-place. And after completely the top of installed precast concrete wall, then inserted vertical steel bars in each hole connected with starter foundation bars, then poured grout.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall comprising:

Which is the embodiment of concrete cube is a three dimensional space, solid shape, comprised of six faces of a cube are squares, where all the length, breadth and height are the same. Which front face and rear face are smooth surface. The top face having rectangle male Interlocking the length is parallel and not more than a half of front upper edge, and the breadth of rectangle male interlocking is parallel and not less than twenty Ofive percent of left side upper edge, the thickness is not less than eight percent of front upper edge. In the same way as the bottom face having rectangle female interlocking, the size, shape and position are the same as upper rectangle male interlocking.

There are two rows parallel the front upper edge, first row, and second row, each row having round hole placed vertically from top face to bottom face, the amount of round holes of each row not less than five holes, the diameter of holes not exceeded ten percent of front upper edge, and each round hole of the second row having counter bore at the same centering of round hole, diameter of them not less than fourteen percent and the depth not less than eight percent of front upper edge.

The first row which the centering of each hole having irregular circumference of counterbore and straight line, the depth same as the second row. On the opposite having two rows parallel the rear upper edge, the amount of holes and positions are all the same as front upper edge. And at a half of left upper edge, the center line parallel the front upper edge having a pair of plates lifting.

At the bottom face of precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall, in opposite side of front face having a pair of covers, the position are at the left and right of bottom face, and are the same of the vertical opposite direction of plates lifting at front face.

The left side face having vertical male Interlocking, the position is at a half of left upper edge, the breadth is not less than twelve percent, with the protruding taper tip, who have the length are double of breadth, the height from the top face to the bottom face. There are smooth surface which the position are on the left and right side of the vertical male Interlocking, and both are staying close to the left and right edge, breadth and height are equal to vertical male Interlocking. The next space are grooves, which the positions of them are between the left and right of smooth surface, breadth of them not less then sixteen percent of left upper edge, the height are equal to the height of vertical male interlocking, the depth of them are equal to the breadth of smooth surface.

At a half of height, on the left side face, at both sides of smooth surface, having the hollow cube, which these hollow cube are vacant, where all the length, breadth and height are equal to the breadth of smooth surface. There are four places, left and right of both smooth surface, front and rear of block of the left side face, all of them are four hollow cube.

On the opposite side, the right side face having vertical female interlocking, at a half of right side upper edge, the sizes, shapes and height are all the same as vertical male interlocking. When worn vertical female interlocking to the vertical male interlocking, they would be fit together. The hollow cube of right side face, having positions, sizes and amount of hollow cube are the same as left side face.

2. The installation process for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall as follows: First step Beginning by constructing the reinforced concrete foundation to supported precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall, and placing the starter bars locator template on the upper of steel bars of the foundation, and at the center of round holes. Especially each upper end of starter bars are threaded.

Lift up the first precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall down to laid on the reinforced concrete foundation controlled each round holes matching with each starter bar as mentioned, as mentioned above, then lift the second block laid on the reinforced concrete foundation, placed closed together by led vertical female interlocking closed to vertical male interlocking or vertical male interlocking closed to vertical female interlocking. Then adjusted a pair of blocks closed together by adjuster kit for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube, by inserted a pair of mounting - core in to the round holes of both blocks and both sides, front and rear sides respectively, by turning screw drive. Next connected the mechanical couplers with cone, which this consisted of the mechanical couplers which having upper and lower internal thread, the upper end having slot for assemble mechanical couplers connected with threaded end of starter bars in each round hole tighten. The mechanical couplers welded with perforated sheet metal cone.

Continue to put the vertical shear rods in to the rectangle opening laid on the base at both sides, left and right of hollow cube, at four places, all total are four vertical shear rods, which vertical shear rods consisted of steel bars not less than two pieces and welded with double steel plates, sizes of them not exceeded the volume of hollow cube.

Continue to installed until the end of the first row on the foundation, then poured concrete grout flow from rectangle opening to each left and right of hollow cube upto rectangle opening until full, so completely in this first step. Second step, installed the upper blocks and second row by lifting the first precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall down to seated on the lower block, at that time the rectangle female interlocking of bottom face would be seated on the rectangle male interlocking of lower block firmly, from this first block having vertical male interlocking, installed to the left direction. Then lift the second precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall down to seated on the second block at the lower of first row, the vertical female interlocking touched down to the rectangle male interlocking firmly Adjusted a pair of blocks closed together as mentioned above. Put the vertical shear rods down into the rectangle opening as mentioned above. Continue to installed each row of wall from these process until reaching to the top of row of the project.

Third step follows the aforementioned process until the end of the wall installation, then put down the vertical rebars, which they having lower threaded end, in to each round hole connected with the mechanical couplers with cone, at the bottom of round holes firmly, then poured cement grout in to each round hole, preparing to constructed topping reinforced concrete slab on the top of the wall until completely.

3. Mold for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall comprising:

The products of precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall are make from precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube mold making machine, which is this mold would be modified from precast concrete hollow core making machine. These main parts breakdown of mold making machine comprised of four parts as follows. First part is square front face panel, is a female mold for left side face and having vertical male interlocking. Second part is square rear face panel, is a male mold for right side face and having vertical female interlocking. Third and Forth are rectangle partitions, which the sizes and configuration are the same, they are the partitions using for casting precast concrete cube, the surface of casting area are squares, and having details as follows.

Front surface consisted of male mold for rectangle female interlocking of bottom face. And rear surface consisted of female mold for rectangle male Interlocking of top face. The next front surface is a pair of molds for cover attached left and right of bottom face. Rear surface is a pair of molds for plates lifting, attached left and right of top face, which the centering are the same direction of cover.

Steel plates attached at two places, upper and lower, and attached at both sides of partitions, front surface and rear surface. Washer attached at the upper and Lower of both sides of partition, the centering are the same of round holes. Each partition connected with square front face panel and square rear face panel by bolted.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention pertains generally to retaining walls. Specifically, the invention relates to Precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube using for earth and water retaining wall.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

From past to the present the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls still using traditional methods cast- in -place, by using formwork scaffolding and other materials causing a lot of wasted material. It take a long time to constructed the wall, and determine the time for concrete curing and harden, requires a lot of labor, and requires a lot of construction budget.

The main purpose of this invention is to modify the products form and how to installed to be an alternative products in order to reduced construction materials, less in labor costs, reduced construction time and save construction budgets. But the benefits of this Precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall would be the same quality and performances as reinforced concrete wall cast-in- place.

DISCLOSE OF INVENTION

As shown in Fig. 1 Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 is a precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 which is the embodiment of concrete cube having three dimensional space, solid shape, comprised of six faces of a cube are squares, where all the length, breadth and height are the same. Which front face 2 and rear face 3 are smooth surface, the top face 4 having rectangle male interlocking 5 the length is parallel and not more than a half of front upper edge 6 and the breadth of rectangle is parallel and not less than twenty- five percent of left upper edge 7 there are two rows parallel the front upper edge first row 8 and second row 9. Having round holes 10 placed vertically from top face 4 to bottom face 11 the amount of round holes 10 at a row is not less than five holes, the diameter of each hole not exceeded ten percent of front upper edge 6 each round hole of the second row 9 at the same centering having counter bore 12. The diameter not less than fourteen percent and the depth not less than five percent of front upper edge 6.

The first row 8 at the centering of each hole having irregular circumference of counterbore and straight line 13 the depth same as the second row 9 as shown in Fig. 2. On the opposite side having two rows parallel the rear upper edge 14 the amount of holes and positions are all the same as front upper edge 6. And a half of left upper edge 7, and parallel the front upper edge 6 having a pair of plates lifting 15 the center line of them parallel front upper edge 6 and the position is on the a half of left upper edge 7 and staying between rectangle male interlocking 5.

At the bottom face 11 in opposite side having a pair of cover 15 for plates lifting at the same centering on the opposite direction of plates lifting 16 and having rectangle female Interlocking 17 the sizes, and positions are the same as rectangle male interlocking 5, when worn rectangle female Interlocking to rectangle male Interlocking, they would be fit together, and having holes and other are the same as front face 4.

The left side face 18 having vertical male interlocking 19 the position is at a half of left side upper edge 7 the breadth is not less than twelve percent of left upper edge 7 with the protruding taper tip, which the length are the same as breadth, the height started from top face 4 to the bottom face 11. There are four smooth surface 20 the position are on the left and right side of the vertical male interlocking 19, and both are stay close to lefts and right edge, breadth and height are equal to the vertical male Interlocking 19. The next space are two grooves 21, the position of them are between the left and right of smooth surface 20, breadth of them not less than sixteen percent of left upper edge 7, the height are equal to the height of vertical male Interlocking 19 and depth are equal to the breadth of smooth surface 20. At a half of height, on the left side face 18, and at four sides of smooth surface 20 having hollow cube 22 which these hollow cube are vacant, the length, breadth and height of them are equal to the breadth of smooth surface 20.

On the opposite side, the right side face 23 having vertical female interlocking 24 at a half of right side upper edge 25, sizes, shapes position and height are all the same as vertical male interlocking, when worn vertical female Interlocking to vertical male interlocking, they would be fit together. The hollow cube 22 of right side face 23 having the positions, sizes and amount of them are the same as left side face 18. First step, beginning by constructing the reinforced concrete foundation 26 to supported precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 by placing the plurality of starter bars locator template 27 which all of them are consisted of square steel plate 27a and welded with round tubing 27b with adjust screws 27c. These starter bars locator template 27 locked on the upper of steel rods of foundation, and inserted starter bars 28 to the round tubing connected to steel rods of foundation, especially each upper end of starter bars 28 are threaded.

Lift up the first precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 down to laid on the reinforced concrete foundation 26 controlled each round hole 10 matching to each starter bars 28 as mentioned above, then lifted the second precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 laid on the reinforced concrete foundation 26 placed vertical female interlocking 24 close together to vertical male

Interlocking 19 or vertical male interlocking 19 closed to vertical female interlocking. Then adjusted a pair of blocks close and tighten by adjuster kit 29 for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube, by inserted a pair of mounting- core 29a in to the round holes 10 of both blocks and both sides, front and rear sides respectively, by turning screw drive 29b adjusted and hold in places. Next connected the mechanical couplers with cone 30 which are consisted of mechanical couplers 30a having upper and lower internal thread, the upper end having slot for assemble the mechanical coupler connected with threaded end of starter bars 28 in each round hole 10 tighten, and having perforated sheet metal cone 30b welded with upper mechanical coupler.

Continue to put the four vertical shear rods 31, down in to the two rectangle opening 32, laid on the base at both sides, left and right, of hollow cube at two places, which vertical shear rods consisted of steel bars 31a, the amount not less than two pieces welded with double steel plate 31b. Continue these process until the end of the first row on the foundation, then poured concrete grout flowing from rectangle opening to each left and right of hollow cubes and reach to rectangle opening until full, so completely in this first step.

Second step Installed the upper and second row by lifting the first precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 down to seated on the lower block, which the rectangle female interlocking 17 of bottom face 11 seated on the lower rectangle male Interlocking 5 of top face 4 firmly, from this first block having vertical male Interlocking 19 installed to the left direction, then lift the second precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 1 down to seated on the second block at the lower of first row, the vertical female Interlocking 24 close to vertical male interlocking 19 and rectangle female Interlocking 17 seated on the rectangle male Interlocking 5 firmly, adjusted a pair of blocks close together as mentioned above. Put the vertical shear rods 31 laid on the base of hollow cube of the rectangle opening 32 as mentioned above.

Third step Continue to installing each row of wall from these process until reaching to the top row of the project. Following the aforementioned process until the end of the wall. Then put down the vertical rebars 33 who have lower threaded end, in to each round hole 10, connected with mechanical couplers with cone 30 at the bottom of round holes firmly, then poured cement grout in to each hole completely, preparing to constructed topping reinforced concrete slab 34 on the top of the wall, these are completely of the wall installation process.

As shown in Fig. 12 is the parts break down of mold 35 for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall. 1 there are four parts of mold. The square front face panel 36 is a female mold of left side face 18 who has a vertical male Interlocking 19, and at the square rear face panel 37 is a male mold of right side face 23 who has a vertical female Interlocking 24, the left and right of panels are the rectangle partitions 38 which the sizes of both panels and configuration are the same, using for casting precast concrete cube, the shape of casting area is square and having details as follows.

At the front surface having male mold 38a of rectangle female interlocking 17 of bottom face 11 the rear surface having female mold 38b of rectangle male interlocking 5 of top face 4. The next front surface having a pair of mold for cover 38c attached left and right of bottom face 11, rear surface having a pair of mold for plate lifting 38d, attached left and right of front face 4 which the centering are the same direction of cover. The steel plate 38e attached at two pieces upper and lower and at both sides of partition, the washer 38f attached the same centering of round hole 38g, and attached washer at both sides of holes. Each partition connected with square front face panel 36 and square rear face panel 37 by bolted.

As shown in Fig. 13. Fig . 14 and Fig. 15 are plan view and front view of mold for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 39, consisted of the square front face panel 36 on the right hand side and the square rear face panel 37 on the left hand side, the central are the rectangle partitions 38 the length between partitions are equal to the length of square front face panel 36. And mold for precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall 39, having square rear face panel 37 with steel tubing - core 40 passed through all round hole of rectangle partitions 38. Front view are the configuration of precast vertical reinforcement concrete cube retaining wall mold making machine 41 which is modified from precast concrete hollow core slab machine.
