Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a preparation method for 3-cyano-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester, comprising: step 1: preparing methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate into methyl 3-formyl-4-hydroxybenzoate; and step 2: preparing the methyl 3-formyl-4-hydroxybenzoate into the 3-cyano-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester. The preparation method for the 3-cyano-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester of the present invention has the advantages of: (1) the use of toxic cyanide of cuprous cyanide in the previous processes is avoided and thus the method is more suitable for being used in industrial production; (2) a formyl group is prepared into a cyano group, thus having high efficiency, and thus the method is suitable for being used in mass production; and (3) all raw materials are cheap and easily available and thus the method has obvious cost advantage.
