Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a preparation method for a positive electrode active material and the use thereof. The preparation method comprises: mixing a dispersing agent, a conductive carbon source, ferric nitrate, an accelerant and water to prepare an acidic mixed solution; heating the mixed solution to induce same to undergo a self-propagating reaction, wherein a precursor is obtained after the reaction is finished; mixing the precursor with a lithium source, and sintering the resulting mixture in a micro-oxygen atmosphere; and crushing the sintered material, and subjecting the crushed material to vacuum vapor deposition coating using a hydrocarbon gas, thereby obtaining a positive electrode active material. In the present invention, a nano-scale precursor is synthesized by means of a self-propagating reaction of an oxidizing substance with a reducing substance, and a high-content carbon source substance is introduced in a precursor synthesis stage, such that the growth of material particles can be effectively inhibited during the synthesis of the material, and the conductivity of the material is also improved; and by means of the synthesis process, a positive electrode active material with fine and uniform particles and a high capacity can be synthesized.
