Abstract:
Disclosed are a preparation method and a use of water soluble blue fluorescent silicon quantum dots. The preparation method uses a silane as a silicon source and involves subjecting the silane and sodium citrate to a hydrothermal reaction to prepare the water soluble blue fluorescent silicon quantum dots, the method being easy to control and low cost. The silicon quantum dots prepared thereby have a high quantum efficiency, strong UV absorption, good monodispersity, and excellent water solubility and pH stability, and can complex with chloroplasts to significantly enhance the photosynthesis of chloroplasts and promote plant growth and photosynthesis. The water soluble blue fluorescent silicon quantum dots have the characteristics of enhancing plant photosynthesis and can find use in plant photosynthesis, particularly in the preparation of plant nutrient solutions.
