Abstract:
A rosin-based small molecule hydrogel agent and an application thereof, which relate to the fields of supramolecular chemistry, surfactant science and rosin chemical utilization. The rosin-based small molecule hydrogel agent may cause water to gel at a very low concentration, the critical gelling concentration thereof being only 0.176 wt%, wherein each gel agent molecule can immobilize 13,889 water molecules on average, thus exhibiting extremely high gelling capabilities, while a formed small molecule hydrogel also shows extremely strong stability. The described small molecule hydrogel agent is derived from the natural product rosin and has mild properties; the described small molecule hydrogel agent may be used in the fields of sustained drug release, tissue engineering, daily chemicals, medicine, and so on. At the same time, a rosin-based small molecule hydrogel agent 6-dehydroabietyl amine oxide may cause most oils to form a stable gel emulsion, which may be applied in the fields of food, medicine, daily chemical products, tissue engineering, environmental protection, water pollution treatment, and so on.
