Abstract:
A preparation method for a YAG-based transparent ceramic having a large-scale flake composite structure: first preparing two YAG-based powders according to the chemical formula (Yx,RE1-x)3Al5O12 or Y3(Alx,RE1-x)5O12, then performing water-based tape casting with one YAG-based raw material powder to obtain a YAG-based ceramic green blank, preparing the other YAG-based raw material powder for water-based gel tape casting to obtain a slurry for tape casting on the YAG ceramic green blank, so as to obtain a YAG-based ceramic green blank having a composite structure, then drying and debinding; vacuum sintering the green body following debinding, and then annealing to obtain a transparent ceramic having a composite structure. The preparation method effectively prevents interface melting, long diffusion distance of a dual-system slurry, etc., which occur in a traditional preparation process for a ceramic thin sheet material having a composite structure, which can directly realize the preparation of a green blank larger than 1 mm, and is suitable for the industrial production of YAG-based transparent ceramics.
