Abstract:
Provided is a press molded product that does not require a notch to be provided in the ridgeline in order to prevent press molding defects, and that allows a member cross-section to be widened as far as a design cross-section and makes it possible to improve the rigidity of an automobile body and the bonding strength between an automobile body reinforcement member and another component. The press molded product is comprised of a steel plate having a tensile strength of at least 340 MPa. At least one end section in a predetermined direction of the press molded product is provided with an inward-facing continuous flange having the following in succession: a ridgeline flange formed facing inward on the end section of the ridgeline; a first flange formed facing inward in at least a partial region of an end part of a first face; and a second flange formed facing inward in at least a partial region of an end part of a second face.
