Abstract:
A pressure regulator for a breathing apparatus according to the present invention is a pressure regulator for a breathing apparatus for decompressing compressed air and supplying to a filling space inside a mask worn on a user's face, and comprises: a housing having a supply flow passage connected to the filling space for supplying air thereto, and a chamber connected to the supply flow passage; a valve housing which is provided with a supply port through which the compressed air flows in, a passage connected to the supply port, and a valve seat part having an orifice connected to the passage, and which is installed in the housing such that the orifice connects to the supply flow passage; a plug assembly which is provided with a plug that is in contact with the valve seat part or spaced apart from the valve seat part, and which is movably provided in the valve housing so as to open and close the orifice; a valve spring for applying an elastic force to the plug assembly in a direction in which the plug comes into contact with the seat part; a lever hinged to the valve housing and positioned in the chamber so as to push the plug assembly away from the valve seat part; and a diaphragm provided in the chamber so as to press the lever by elastically deforming when a user breathes in and the pressure in the chamber drops, wherein the plug assembly opens and closes the orifice by interlocking with the lever moved by the diaphragm.
