Abstract:
Provided are: a pressure vessel which has excellent gas barrier properties, in which cracks are less likely to occur, and which has excellent internal pressure fatigue; and a method for manufacturing this pressure vessel. This pressure vessel has, at least on a body portion thereof, a layer formed from a fiber-reinforced resin material containing a resin component and continuous reinforcing fibers. The ratio (inner area/outer area) of the continuous reinforcing fiber content (volume %) in an inner area of the layer from inside to 0.1% in the thickness direction, and the continuous reinforcing fiber content (volume %) in an outer area of the layer from outside to 0.1% in the thickness direction is 0.80 to 0.99. The continuous reinforcing fiber content (volume %) in a center area of the layer, the center area extending from over 0.1% in the thickness direction from inside, to over 0.1% in the thickness direction from outside, is 40-60% by volume.
