Abstract:
Provided is a printer driver capable of printing other data that is not from a specific application while that specific application is operating. A special driver (printer driver) 13 operating on a POS terminal device 2 appropriates a communication port 3 when receipt data is supplied from a POS application 12. In addition, the special driver 13 transmits to a POS printer 4, via the communication port 3, printing data generated on the basis of the receipt data. Furthermore, the special driver 13 cancels the appropriation of the communication port 3 after a preset amount of time has elapsed.
