Title:
PRINTER WITH INK RIBBON WINDING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/040420
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An ink ribbon winding mechanism (30), comprising a winding spool (38), a metallic pivot shaft (37) rotatably supporting a winding spool base part (31), and a coiled spring (36) installed between a base part (31) of the winding spool (38) and the pivot shaft (37), wherein the coiled spring (36) is installed, under slightly expanded condition, at the center part (37b) of the pivot shaft (37), and one end part of a hook (36a) of the coiled spring (36) is fixed to a slit (31c) of the winding spool base part (31), whereby the winding spool (38) is allowed to rotate only in the winding direction (R direction), thus preventing an ink ribbon from being loosened when a power is not transmitted to the winding spool, and the coiled spring (36) is disposed in a space enclosed by the base part (31) of the winding spool (38) and the base part (37c) of the pivot shaft (37).
