Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a privacy protection call method and a corresponding apparatus. The method comprises: a first network function device receiving a first number request message from a network opening function device, acquiring a first virtual number that belongs to the same region as a first user number, establishing a correlation between the first user number and the first virtual number, and returning the first virtual number to the network opening function device; and during a privacy protection call process, after receiving a first call request message that carries the first virtual number or the first user number, the first network function device directly performing number conversion on the first user number or the first virtual number according to the correlation. Therefore, only one call needs to be retained in a network, thereby effectively reducing the network cost and load, increasing the call completing rate and improving the call quality.
