Abstract:
The PESI mass spectrometry device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a PESI ion source (103, 104, 106, 107); a mass filter (140) that selects specific ions from ions produced by the ion source; a collision cell (141) that dissociates the ions selected by the mass filter; a mass spectrometry unit (150-155) that performs mass spectrometry on the product ions produced by the collision cell; an ion source control unit (22) that controls the ion source such that, for the same sample, collection of the sample and ionization of the collected sample are repeatedly performed in the ion source; and an analysis control unit (23) that controls the units to perform an operation that, when the sample collection and ionization are repeatedly performed on the sample in the ion source, allows ions having m/z included in a window having a predetermined m/z width to pass through the mass filter, dissociates the ions in the collision cell, and obtains a mass spectrum of the produced product ions by the mass spectrometry unit, while shifting the window over the m/z range to be measured. The m/z width of the window is in the range of 0.5-1.5 Da.
