Abstract:
Phthalimide is obtained by means of the interaction of phthalic anhydride with carbamide taken in an amount of 1 to 0.5-0.7 mole parts, respectively, which interaction is effected under continuous stirring conditions. The reagents are heated primarily up to 95-115oC under the pressure of 0.02-0.098 MPa until the obtention of a molten mass. Then, the reagent mass is heated under the same pressure up to the temperature of 155-170oC.
