Abstract:
This product managing system (10) comprises an issuance unit (11), an authentication unit (12), a data registration unit (13), and an output unit (14). The issuance unit (11), when having received a certificate issuance request from product equipment (20), generates a public key certificate including, in addition to a public key, both the UID of the product equipment and the signature of a certificate authority, and causes an HSM (23) of the product equipment (20) to store a secret key. The authentication unit (12), when having received an authentication request from the product equipment (20), verifies the public key certificate, and uses the public key in the public key certificate to verify whether the data for authentication has been signed by use of the secret key. The output unit (14), when having received a usage starting request from the product equipment (20) for which the authentication has successfully been done, reads, from a storage (24), product history data registered in association with the UID included in the public key certificate of the product equipment (20), and outputs output information related to the product history data.
