Abstract:
A method of producing an ironed cylindrical container with a maximum production yield comprising drawing an elongated metal sheet into a cup-like shape and then ironing the blank into a cylindrical container in order to reduce unnecessary portions other than the blank portion punched out, and to limit the occurrence of lugs when the blank is molded into the cylindrical shape to a low level; and an ironed cylindrical container shaped by this method, characterized in that a blank is punched into a hexagonal shape having two parallel sides opposing each other and having each corner portion between the sides thereof shaped into an arcuate shape as a basic shape, and the blank is ironed into a cylindrical container.
