Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method for a slurry composition that makes it possible to obtain a secondary battery electrode which, in a case where said composition for a secondary battery electrode has a higher-than-conventional solid content concentration, preserves coatability as a result of said composition having reduced viscosity, and which exhibits excellent peel strength (adhesiveness). This production method comprises: a step A for kneading a composition that has a 60-80 mass% solid content concentration and comprises an active material, a thickener, and water into a paste to obtain a first thick paste product; a step B for adding a hydrophilic binder (different from the thickener) and water to the first thick paste product and kneading to a paste to obtain a second thick paste product; and a step C for adjusting the solid content concentration of the second thick paste product to 40-60 mass%.
