Abstract:
A production system for an optical display device comprises: a first-surface joining device which, for a plurality of the optical display components carried on a line along a prescribed carrying direction, cuts a first optical member sheet at a length corresponding to the long side of a display region in an optical display component while pulling out the belt-like first optical member sheet with a width corresponding to the short side of the display region from a first web roll to form a first optical member, and then joins the first optical member to the optical display component; and a second-surface joining device which cuts a second optical member sheet at a length corresponding to the short side of a display region in an optical display component while pulling out the belt-like second optical member sheet with a width corresponding to the long side of the display region from a second web roll to form a second optical member, and then joins the second optical member to the optical display component for a plurality of the optical display components carried on a line. The direction of an optical display component set to the carrying direction when the optical member is joined to the optical display component in the first-surface joining device is the same as the direction of the optical display component to the carrying direction when the optical member is joined thereto in the second-surface joining device.
