Abstract:
This projection display device comprises: a projector (1) that projects video light for displaying various video; a first polarizing part (2) that transmits light with a predetermined polarization component among the video light from the projector; and a transparent member (3) that includes a transparent screen (32) that reflects the video light transmitted through the first polarizing part, a second polarizing part (33) that absorbs all or a portion of the video light transmitted through the transparent screen, and a transparent substrate (34) arranged on the opposite side from the transparent screen with the second polarizing part interposed therebetween. The second polarizing part is an absorptive polarizer in which the polarization transmission axis is arranged to absorb the video light transmitted through the first polarizing part.
