Abstract:
Provided are a projection lens and a projector which can be reduced in size and accurately assembled, and are capable of achieving a wide angle with a shorter focal length. A first holding member (15) holds a first optical system (11) and a first mirror (13), and has a first joining surface (17). A second holding member (16) holds a second optical system (12) and a second mirror (14), and has a second joining surface (18). A joining part (19) holds the second holding member (16) such that the second holding member (16) can shift in both joining surface directions and can rotate about the optical axis with the first joining surface (17) and the second joining surface (18) joined to each other, thereby enabling the alignment of the optical axis. An optical axis (CL1O) on the emission side of the first optical system (11) and an optical axis (CL2I) on the incident side of the second optical system (12) are aligned in order for the first and second optical systems (11), (12) to form a U-shaped optical path, thereby allowing reduction in size. An intermediate image in the first optical system (11) is magnified and displayed in the second optical system (12), thereby achieving a wide angle with a shorter focal length.
