Abstract:

The present invention provides novel masked antibodies. The present invention provides a molecule which binds to a target antigen, and is characterized by comprising a region that binds to the target antigen, a first peptide that recognizes a binding site for the target antigen in the region, and a second peptide comprising an amino acid sequence that is cleaved by a protease, while being also characterized by having higher binding affinity to the target antigen after the cleavage of the second peptide by the protease in comparison to that before the cleavage.
