Abstract:
Provided is a protective film that, in a battery, is capable of being suitably fixed around a portion where a metal foil-exposed part of an electrode is to be welded, that has low heat shrinkage under high temperature during welding, and that exhibits excellent insulation properties. This protective film is used for a battery provided with an electrode that has a metal foil and an active material layer disposed on the surface of the metal foil, wherein: the electrode is provided with a metal foil-exposed part where the metal foil is exposed; the protective film is used to protect at least a portion around a part where a metal terminal and the metal foil-exposed part of the electrode are to be welded; the protective film is at least provided with a first heat-weldable resin layer having adhesive properties, a heat-resistant intermediate layer, and a second heat-weldable resin layer, in this order; and the first heat-weldable resin layer constitutes a surface on one side of the protective film.
