Title:
PROTON-CONDUCTING ELECTROLYTE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/159584
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] In electrolytes of solid oxide type cells, it is required that it be possible to simultaneously suppress both gas cross leakage and electron leakage. From the viewpoint of reducing the material cost and electrical resistance of an electrolyte, it is important that the electrolyte be a thin film and that expensive noble metals not be used. The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a proton-conducting thin film electrolyte capable of simultaneously suppressing gas cross leakage and electron leakage; a solid oxide cell using the proton-conducting thin film electrolyte; and a method for manufacturing the solid oxide cell. [Solution] The present invention provides a proton-conducting electrolyte using a proton-conducting oxide material, the proton-conducting electrolyte being characterized by having a first portion containing Me (Me = at least one among Ti, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu) and a second portion having an Me content different from that of the first portion.
