Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a PTC thermistor element equipped with a comparatively large PTC effect and high current flow durability. [Solution] A PTC thermistor element 1 has a PTC thermistor member 10, a PTC thermistor member 20, and a PTC thermistor member 30 that is positioned between the PTC thermistor member 10 and the PTC thermistor member 20. The rate of change in the electrical resistivity of the PTC thermistor member 30 is less than the rate of change in the electrical resistivity of the PTC thermistor member 10 and the rate of change in the electrical resistivity of the PTC thermistor member 20. The rate of change in electrical resistivity is a ratio of the electrical resistivity at a second temperature to the electrical resistivity at a first temperature. The first temperature is 25°C. The second temperature is 300°C.
