Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to provide a pulse wave detection device that can detect minute changes in the pressing force on a detecting unit by an object. A retaining plate (13) of a pulse wave detection device (1) is disposed so as to abut a supporting section (14A) and a pressure sensor (15). At this time, the pressure sensor (15) is disposed toward an end side of the retaining plate (13) further to the left than the position on the retaining plate (13) where a light receiving unit (11) and a light emitting unit (12) are disposed is, said retaining plate (13) having the light receiving unit (11) and the light emitting unit (12) disposed on one end side thereof, which is the left side, and the supporting section (14A) being disposed on the other end side, which is the right side. The distance from the supporting section (14A), which is a fulcrum, to the pressure sensor (15) which detects pressure applied to the retaining plate (13) is made to be longer than the distance from the supporting section (14A) to the position where the light receiving unit (11) and light emitting unit (12) to which load from an object to be measured is applied are disposed.
