Abstract:
Provided is a pump in which the amount of leakage can be reduced without complicating the shape of a sliding portion of the pump. In the pump comprising a closed type impeller (2) having a plurality of blades between a first plate (20) and a second plate (21), a rotary shaft to which the impeller (2) is rotatably coupled, and a casing (4) that houses the impeller (2) and the rotary shaft, the impeller (2) is provided with a sealing portion (5) having a larger diameter than the outer diameter of a main body portion of the impeller (2) at one end of the main body portion, and a sliding gap (S1) between a sealing surface (51) of the sealing portion (5) and the casing (4) extends in the radial direction of the rotary shaft.
