Description:
Description Title of Invention: PUTTING GUIDE GOLF BALL

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a putting guide golf ball, in detail, a putting guide golf ball that has a contact portion such that the bottom contacts over a wide area on the ground and a spin indicator on the upper circumference to observe whether it travels straight and spins when hit with a putter such that a golfer can accurately hit it perpendicularly with a putter in a practice. Background Art

[2] As well known, anyone, regardless of being a pro or amateur golfer, golfers practice to reduce the number of strokes. Golfers tend not to focus on putting but instead concentrating on practice hitting with a drive or an iron club, which have an effect on reducing the number of strokes.

[3] Putting practice devices for putting practice have been developed and golfers have practiced putting with the putting practice devices. Those putting practice devices, however, occupy a large area, such that at least 3m space is required, and the devices do not focus the user for the putting practice, but whether the ball goes into the hole cup.

[4] In particular, the putting practice devices are little helpful for golfers to check for bad habits, such as the stroke position, the direction of a hit-ball, or hitting position, such that they cannot help themselves improve.

[5] It is the accepted view that "there is no standard in putting" because the final objective is to put a ball into the hole cup. However, the principle of correct putting is to move the putter face at a desired speed in accordance with the distance while keeping perpendicular. Therefore, a specific shape is required for correct putting under any circumstances. There are largely three types of putts. A tap type is a way of hitting a ball by snap of the wrist with a small follow-through, and accordingly, the power is necessarily large. A stroke type is a way of swinging the putter head while moving both arms in parallel with a line. A shoulder type largely depends on the rotation of the shoulders, in which the adjustment depends almost on the degree of rotation. Since the putt considerably depends on a feel (sensitivity), putting should be performed in consideration of changes in incline of the green and texture of the lawn.

[6] The most important thing is, however, to practice putting such that the golf ball can travel straight on a level ground. Appropriately spinning a ball in accordance with the texture of the lawn is practice for golfers having basic skills of hitting the ball straight under any circumstances. [7] A practice for applying appropriate force to the golf ball is a skill that should be performed after a skill of accurately putting the golf ball is endowed.

[8] Therefore, the most important basic skill in putting is, as shown in FIG. 1, to accurately hit perpendicularly a golf ball 6 with the face of a putter 2 such that the golf ball 6 travels straight in the direction A. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[9] The present invention was designed in consideration of the technical circumstances of the related art and it is an object of the present invention to provide a putting guide golf ball that has a contact portion such that the bottom contacts over a wide area on the ground and a rotation indicator on the upper circumference to observe whether it travels straight and spins when hit with a putter such that a golfer can accurately hit perpendicularly it with a putter in a practice. Solution to Problem

[10] In order to achieve the object of the present invention, there is provided a putting guide golf ball characterized by including: a contact portion 32 cut to contact over a wide area on the ground such that a spin indicator 34 exposed at the upper end does not spin; and a spin indicator 34 provided on the upper circumference to allow observation of whether the ball hit by a putter travels straight and spins.

[11] Preferably, there is provided a putting guide golf ball characterized in that the spin indicator 34 has a shape of "I" or "T".

[12] Preferably, there is provided a putting guide golf ball characterized in that the spin indicator 34 is attached, such as a sticker, or printed on the golf ball.

[13] Preferably, there is provided a putting guide golf ball characterized in that the part cut off for forming the contact portion 32 is a quarter of the diameter of the entire golf ball.

[14] On the other hand, there is provided a putting guide golf ball characterized in that a plurality of golf ball bodies 42, which each have a contact portion 32 formed by cutting the lower portion to contact over a wide area of the ground and a cut attachment surface 46 cut perpendicular to the contact portion 32, are bonded with the cut attachment surfaces 46 in contact with each other, in order to check whether the ball is accurately hit perpendicularly by a putter by observing movement of the bodies 42 when hit longitudinally.

Advantageous Effects of Invention

[15] According to a putting guide golf ball of the present invention, the lower portion of the golf ball is cut to contact with the ground and an indicator showing the spin state is provided on the upper surface, such that it is possible to easily check whether the golf ball is accurately hit perpendicularly and slides. Therefore, it is possible to practice putting the golf ball such that the golf ball travels straight. Brief Description of Drawings

[22] The present invention is described hereafter in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[23] FIG. 2 is a view analyzing putting on the basis of the locus of a putting guide golf ball according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a side view showing a putting guide golf ball according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a putting guide golf ball according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[24] Referring to these figures, a putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention is an exercise ball that has a contact portion such that the bottom contacts over a wide area on the ground and a spin indicator on the upper circumference to observe whether it travels straights and spins when hit with a putter such that a golfer can accurately hit it perpendicularly with a putter while practicing.

[25] In detail, a putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention has a contact portion 32 cut such that the bottom of the body contacts over a wide area on the ground such that a spin indicator 34 exposed at the upper end does not spin, in which the spin indicator 34 is provided on the upper circumference to allow observation of whether the ball hit by a putter travels straight and spins, such that it is possible to practice hitting accurately perpendicularly the ball with the putter.

[26] That is, since the contact portion 32 formed by cutting straight the lower end of the body is in contact with the ground 26, the putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention does not rolls, but slides when being hit with the putter 2; therefore, it is easy to check whether the face of the putter 2 accurately hits perpendicularly the putting guide golf ball 30.

[27] The spin indicator 34 is provided on the upper surface of the putting guide golf ball

30 according to an embodiment of the present invention in order to see more effectively that the putting guide golf ball 30 travels.

[28] Preferably, the spin indicator 34 may have a shape of "I" or "T", if needed, it is possible to easily observe whether the putting guide golf ball 30 spins or is inaccurately hit and travels in an undesired direction, by providing different characters (e.g. A and A') at a predetermined distance from each other.

[29] Meanwhile, the spin indicator 34 may be attached, such as a sticker, or printed on the golf ball.

[30] Further, in the putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention, it is preferable that the part cut off for forming the contact portion 32 is a quarter of the diameter of the entire golf ball. That is, assuming that the diameter of the golf ball is 4cm, it is preferable to cut a portion, lcm from any one outer surface perpendicular to the diameter.

[31] This is because, when too large part is cut off in forming the contact portion 32 of the putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the putter 2 may hit the ground 26 when putting the putting guide golf ball 30, or when too small part is cut off, the putting guide golf ball 30 may not slide, but roll when putted by the putter 2.

[32] A golfer to practice putting, as shown in FIG. 2, can practice putting by placing paper on the ground, dividing the paper into 8 sections, drawing a circle shaped of a hole cup at the center, and then hitting the putting guide golf ball 30 while checking the slide position of the putting guide golf ball 30.

[33] For example, sections 7 and 8 correspond to left-right lip-out, seconds 1 and 2 correspond to left-right short putting, sections 3 and 4 correspond to left-right curved short putting with a good speed, and sections 5 and 6 correspond to left-right curved long putting.

[34] On the other hand, when putting the putting guide golf ball 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a golfer can observe how much the ball spins by seeing the spin indicator 34, and such that he/she can practice putting such that the putting guide golf ball 30 travels straight without movement of the spin indicator 34 by itself.

[35] On the other hand, FIG. 7 is a side view showing a putting guide golf ball according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[36] Referring to this figure, a putting guide golf ball 40 according to another embodiment of the present invention is formed by bonding a plurality of golf ball bodies 42, which each have a contact portion formed by cutting the lower portion to contact over a wide area of the ground and a cut attachment surface 46 cut perpendicular to the contact portion 32, with the cut attachment surfaces 46 in contact with each other, in order to check whether the ball is accurately perpendicularly hit by a putter by observing movement of the bodies 42 when hit longitudinally.

[37] Therefore, the putting guided golf ball 40 according to another embodiment of the present invention does not need the specific spin indicator 34. Further, it is possible to easily see that the initial position of the putting guide golf ball 40 turns, by placing the putting guide golf ball 40 with the attached bodies longitudinally arranged, and then hitting the longitudinal surface of the putting guide golf ball 40.

[38] The putting guide golf ball 40 can also be provided with the specific spin indicator

34 on the upper surface.

[39] On the other hand, a putting guide golf ball according to an embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit of the invention.
