Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of lithium ion batteries. Disclosed are a quaternary positive electrode material and a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The preparation method for the quaternary positive electrode material comprises the following steps: S1, mixing boric acid, a nickel cobalt manganese precursor, and a lithium source to obtain a first mixture, and performing primary roasting on the first mixture at 600-800°C to obtain first sinter; and S2, mixing the first sinter with a coating agent to obtain a second mixture, and performing secondary roasting on the second mixture at 450-550°C to obtain the quaternary positive electrode material. The present invention further provides a quaternary positive electrode material that is prepared by the described preparation method. The present invention further provides the quaternary positive electrode material prepared by the described preparation method or an application of the quaternary positive electrode material in preparing a lithium ion battery. The preparation method of the present invention improves the cycle stability and rate performance of the quaternary positive electrode material.
