Abstract:
Provided is a rack guide that achieves both stable replenishment of lubricant from a rack bar to a lubricant retention groove and stable supply of lubricant from the retention groove to the rack bar when the rack bar slides with respect to the rack guide. At least a pair of lubricant retention grooves 122 that retain a lubricant G present between a rack bar SD3 and a support surface 120A and that are opposed to each other in a rack guide longitudinal direction are provided on the support surface 120A in such a shape as to extend in a rack guide widthwise direction orthogonal to the rack guide longitudinal direction and to bulge away from each other in the rack guide longitudinal direction. An apex 122B1 of each of the lubricant retention grooves 122 in the rack guide longitudinal direction is disposed in a contact region 120A1.
