Abstract:
Provided is a radial gap rotary electric machine which is highly efficient and in which an amorphous metal having excellent productivity is used. The radial gap rotary electric machine according to the present invention comprises a rotary shaft, a rotor including a rotor core which rotates around the rotary shaft, and a stator including a stator core which is positioned facing the rotor core, said radial gap rotary electric machine characterized in that: the stator core has an annular-shaped back yoke (4) having a plurality of recesses provided along the inner circumference thereof, and teeth (3) engaging with the recesses at one end and projecting towards the rotor core at an other end; the teeth (3) have a laminate body, in which amorphous metal foil strips are laminated in the axial direction of the rotary shaft, and an insulating member (2) holding the laminate body; and a magnetic material (1) is provided to the end part of the insulating member (2) on the side facing the rotor.
