Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a radio link quality or beam quality evaluation method and device; in the method, a terminal device determines, according to configuration information received from a network device, a reference signal for monitoring the quality of a radio link or beam, and periodically evaluates the quality of the radio link or beam of the terminal device according to the reference signal. The described period is determined according to the values of B1 and B2, wherein B1 is a preset or pre-configured value, and B2 is related to a received beam weighting factor (N) and a collision weighting factor (P). Since whether the terminal device can obtain an effective measurement value within one period is related to N and P, the present application uses the value(s) of N and/or P as a consideration factor in determining period so that the period in which the terminal device evaluates the quality of the radio link or beam is more reasonable under the influence of N and/or P, thus improving the probability of the terminal device obtaining an effective measurement value within the period and avoiding the frequent occurrence of radio link failure or beam failure.
